The goal of our research is to understand how the brain integrates information about rewards to motivate performance. To answer this question we combine methods from engineering, cognitive neuroscience, and experimental economics.

We believe that this understanding will shed light on how neural and behavioral processing breaks down during neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, and how such conditions can be treated. Furthermore, it is our hope that by understanding motivated performance we will determine how best to incentivize individuals in real-world settings.
